The 1.00" is the standard plastic thumbscrew length for the Kennel Gear plastic bar mount and the correct replacement for most installations. Use the shortest thumbscrew length that provides full thread engagement on the bar — one that is longer than the bar requires will extend behind the insert cavity, contact the bowl or pail body, and stop the yoke or insert block from dropping fully into position to lock. If the mount does not seat flush at 1.00", step up to the 1.25" replacement plastic thumbscrew or the 1.50" replacement plastic thumbscrew.
