The Kennel Gear 5" Wide Bar Mount System is the Piranha Lox® dog kennel bar mount built for kennel panels, crate doors, and bar systems where standard mount clearance falls short. At 3 5/8" between thumbscrews — compared to 2 5/8" on the standard bar mount — the wider body spans bar spacing that the standard system cannot bridge, giving installations with broader panel configurations a secure, stable attachment point for compatible Kennel Gear bowls, pails, and other accessories. The clearance measurement is the deciding factor between the standard and wide bar mount. When the vertical bar spacing on a kennel panel or crate door exceeds 2 5/8", the standard thumbscrews cannot reach past the bars to clamp the back plate securely — the wide bar mount resolves that with 3 5/8" of clearance that covers the broader spacing found on certain commercial kennel panel systems, heavy-gauge crate doors, and non-standard bar configurations. Always measure bar spacing before selecting a mount. For panels with spacing beyond 3 5/8", the Extra Wide Bar Mount provides 5 1/4" of clearance.
